I disagree strongly that Finn Hill has affordable housing. There is NO affordable housing in Finn Hill; for all of Kirkland actually. Look up the definition of affordable housing according to HUD and the affordable housing act. Also, there are very few affordable rental opportunities.
I am very concerned about density, traffic, safety, and the mush mosh of housing that deveopers are throwing up on whatever piece of land they can buy. There is housing in this area that was built with NO consideration of existing housing, the neighborhood, and impact to this area and its residences.
I strongly agree that Kirkland needs a real community center for all residences of Kirkland. It does not belong in Finn Hill. A great example is the Lynnwood Community Center. Finn Hill just needs a “small neigborhood gathering place near QFC.
