Christmas Ships Emerge from Misty-Fog Cloaked Sky

The mist gave the Christmas Ships a ghostly appearance as they drifted emerging from the fog in front of  O.O. Denny Park late Sunday afternoon. The ships’ reflections on the grey water swayed in the windless night. About 20 ships accompanied the Argosy Christmas Ship while The Pacific Sound Chorus performed a range of holiday classic songs. Hot chocolate under holiday lights and a huge bonfire warmed the several hundred people who listened to the songs from the drifting flotilla. Volunteer in Juanita Heights Park Sat. Nov 30

Volunteer this Saturday at the planting work party in Juanita Heights Park, November 30th from 9-11:00 AM.  Juanita Heights Park is located at the end of 89th PL NE.  The area is east of St John Vienny church. The park includes a portion of the east side of Finn Hill. Volunteers work together to pull ivy and plant trees, shrubs and ground cover. This is a small park with a 1/4 mile loop trail. Dress for the weather, wear gloves and bring a shovel if you can. We will be planting about 50-70 small native ground covers and shrubs.  More information on the park is at www.juanitaheightspark.com...
